ALL AGES show at Satyricon APRIL 5th.

Our first ALL AGES show in Portland. We go on early at 7:30pm. Doors are at 7pm.

For those who may be interested.

So there has been a lot of things that have happened to us in the span of our existence. So here is the story. I worked at Kinkos and there was always this crazy guy with dread locks making copies. It ended up being Martin Atkins. I gave him a demo. We exchanged phone calls. Then we signed a ridiculous contract.

Tamar was close to 7 months pregnant when Steven Seibold and Martin were mixing the record. It came out. It supposedly got some radio play. We proceeded to have a baby. We named her Tuesday. Tamar and I slowly got back into the Chicago music scene after several months of staying home with Tuesday and figuring out how to be parents.

We played a lot. Never really did any touring but did as much as we possibly could. Years would pass and  Martin wouldn’t put out any of our records. We were obligated to put out several…but it never happened. He would always try to come up with the grand schemes…that never panned out. So we got a lawyer. And we came to an agreement after a year of back and forth. In the end Invisible got a lot of our songs. We put out a record that we were told we had input on but our feedback was thrown aside. The last record is embarrassing and we’re sorry for that. I’ve never had anything stolen from me in my life until I met MA. He took five years that I’ll never get back. Along with tons of songs.

I’m sure his lawyer will contact me about this. Martin is not a punk and never was. He is a dirty business man screwing over independent musicians who have nothing. One day he told me we treated him like a cunt. That was the proudest day of my music career. So here’s to cunts! We’re free.

First Show in Portland

We have our first show in Portland on March 4th with our mid-west friends Vanishing Kids. Tell all your friends.

More songs!

We’re so excited about this album! We’ve been listening to it and we don’t hate it which is a good sign.

We’ve added a few more songs:

“He always seemed so friendly”

“Leave of Absense”

and

“The New Vogue”

I also wanted to share with you what was going to be our last album cover that was released on Invisible Records. This was done in probably 2005 or something at a much more happier time. Thought we would share. It’s an ode to The Sparks and it’s hilarious. We might use it for a poster sometime.

Obviously as things panned out the way they did, we went with a much darker, dismal cover for that release.

But just so you know, Steve finished the artwork for our upcoming album and it’s amazing!!!

Okay, until later, here is that album cover that never was:
